I began my yoga journey as a curious 12 yo, making my mother drive me 45 min away to a neighbouring town so I could work out how these new movements changed the way I felt.

I love to teach in a way that cultivates more embodiment, more appreciation, more connection through slow conscious movement and integrated meditation. My work draws deeply from Ayurvedic wisdom and energy work.

On & Off the Mat With: Clara Bradley

As a yoga teacher, what inspires and motivates your teaching?

Ancient wisdom and how we can use this to lead more inspiring lives, to be more aware and connected.

How has your own yoga practice evolved since becoming a teacher?

It's become more fun, less serious, more explorative!

Do you have any yoga teachers that you admire and/or look up to? Who are they?

Absolutely - Rod Stryker, Donna Farhi and Max Strom.

For those of us that haven't practiced with you before, what can we expect from your classes?

A practice to tune you back into your Self, some shared wisdom and a sense of inner healing.

My work draws deeply from Ayurvedic wisdom and energy work.

What type of class could you teach all day, everyday and why?

A slow Hatha class - because it is powerful, integrated and whole.

Do you practice any other form of movement or fitness besides yoga? If so, what kind?

Yes a lot of walking in nature, cycling for transport and the occasional jog if the Kapha in me will alow it!

What's your go-to spot in Melbourne to get inspired?

My home - I live in an iconic complex that feels as if you're stepping into a holiday or a dream very far away.

Which 3 icons or figures would you want to sit next to at a dinner party and why?

Frida Kahlo, Tracey Emin and Vasant Lad - because the conversation would certainly be varied and interesting!!

Finish this sentence. "I feel the most like myself when..."

I'm deep in ritual.

And lastly because it's fun, what animal do you identify with?

Whale of course!
