My yoga journey began around 7 years ago when I was recommended to start yoga as part of spinal recovery from being severely paralysed after a horrific car accident. Thinking it's only intention was to help fold my limbs like a piece of origami, little did I realise the spatial medicine it would aid not only in my world, but to all those I get to share it with. Yoga has given me the selfish power to be more selfless, the freedom to embrace the greatest gift of all...to feel!

With a fluidic, soulful and magnetic teaching approach, I evoke a vision to harness surrendering shifts in expansive states throughout my classes. Heavily influenced by Pranayama and Yogic Philosophy, my asana teachings invite the liberation of being able to use our bodies as a vessel of transformation to both our energy and mind, granting this freedom to be fully alive, fully human, and completely awake - by continually throwing us out of our own nest!

  • 200 hous YTT with Power Living, alongside completing immersions with Duncan Parviainen, Duncan Peak and Anna Forest
  • 30 hours Yin training with Jen Crescenzo with Yoke Yoga
  • 30 hours Yin and Traditional Chinese Medicine with Truth Robinson with Power Living
  • 25 hours Pranayama training with Sian Pascale from The Light Collective

Teaching Style

  • Adjustments/Assists: Yes!! Adjustments and assists are my FAVOURITE! There is nothing more embracing than being able to share an energetic shift with my students. Whether it be anatomical alignment, re-positioning a student to deepen their mental beliefs or restrain for a sustainable level of softness, to the sweetness of energetically sharing breath and directing it to that decadent level of depth, assists are a definite favourite.

  • Theming: My classes are always created around a significant grounding and self-ownership level. These two themes have been quite significant in my personal practice and growth and I adore sharing these qualities with my classes, alongside adding sprinkles of global energetic shifts which are continuously arising, whether it be a on a seasonal, emotional and energetic level. I adore my students to feel my class themes, allowing them to be understood.

  • Sequencing: Class sequencing arises from personal play on my own mat, the ability to free flow in my skin allows this wave of creativity to rise and I trust and inspire each sequence from my mood and state of mind from each personal play.

  • Music: The beat of percussion is a must!! Whether it be the sounds of a shamanic drum, to ambient tribal, I love the natural hypnotic beats to both uplift and ease down.

As a yoga teacher, what inspires and motivates your teaching?

Culture! The ability to take a moment out for myself to be completely immersed in a different culture and entirely that, whether it be a traditional Indian yogic practice, to reading about the traditions and heritage of Native American culture, to watching a documentary on African wildlife, I find when I am able to get to the roots of a culture, whether it be Yoga related or not, it always re-inspires me to get back to the root of my practice and teachings, back to my "why."

How has your own yoga practice evolved since becoming a teacher?

The ability to understand, to slow down and completely absorb everything which is offered both physically and energetically.

Do you have any yoga teachers that you admire and/or look up to? Who are they?

I have a couple I'd definitely put my hands up as number one fan, haha! First and foremost would have to be one of my longest teachers and boss, Manoj Dias. The authenticity, humility, grace and absolute wealth of wisdom this man is, has me eternally as his student.

Sian Pascale would definitely be guilty to igniting a wide amount of personal strength and empowerment in my personal practice purely from her open-hearted and powerful teachings and aura, embedding it's way as motivation throughout my body, mind and soul.

For those of us that haven't practiced with you before, what can we expect from your classes?

Fluid, rythmic and soulful classes, diving further than skin deep into a new realm of freedom and self-empowerment.

I love natural, hypnotic beats to both uplift and ease down.

What type of class could you teach all day, everyday and why?

Yin! Yin has been such a personal transformational practice to me and I adore nothing greater than being able to share the ambient melt and surrender to my students.

Do you practice any other form of movement or fitness besides yoga? If so, what kind?

Walking for a stretched period of time in nature has always been a transcending release and moving meditation for me.

What's your go-to spot in Melbourne to get inspired?

Any form of cliff-top, whether it be on the Mornington Peninsula or the mountains of Dandenong, anywhere being above a level of civilisation and in the rawness of still nature always unlocks a new level for my mental and spiritual self.

Which 3 icons or figures would you want to sit next to at a dinner party and why?

Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley and Michael Jackson, it would have an aura smoother than peanut butter with so much soul and wit!
